Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Effective Date: January 2026

Company Name: Farmington Valley House Cleaning LLC

Service Area: Connecticut

These Terms & Conditions apply to all cleaning services provided by Farmington Valley House Cleaning LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") to any customer (Customer," "you," or

"your"). By booking, approving, paying for, or allowing us to begin cleaning services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Services Provided

We provide residential and/or commercial cleaning services as agreed at the time of booking Services may include standard cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out cleaning, recurring cleaning, post-construction cleaning, office cleaning, or other cleaning services specifically agreed to in writing.

Only the services listed in the booking, estimate, invoice, work order, or written communication are included. Any service not specifically included is excluded unless we agree to add it.

2. Estimates, Quotes, and Final Pricing

All estimates are based on the information provided by the Customer, including the size of the property, condition of the property, number of rooms, type of service requested, level of buildup, presence of pets, clutter, and any special requests.

If the property condition is materially different from what was described, we may adjust the price, request approval for additional time, limit the work to the booked service amount, or decline to perform all or part of the service.

Examples of conditions that may increase price or limit service include, but are not limited to:

  •  Heavy buildup
  •  Excessive clutter
  •  Pet hair or pet waste
    Mold or mildew
    Grease buildup
    Hoarding conditions
    Construction dust
    Biohazards
    Bodily fluids
    Insects or pests
    Unsafe conditions
  • Lack of water, power, heat, or safe access

3. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the property at the scheduled service time.

Before our arrival, the Customer should:

Remove excessive clutter from areas to be cleaned

  •  Secure valuables, cash, jewelry, firearms, medication, fragile items, and sensitive documents
  •  Secure pets
  •  Identify any delicate, damaged, loose, antique, or high-value items
Notify us of surfaces requiring special care
  •  Provide working water, electricity, lighting, and safe access
  •  Notify us of alarms, cameras, parking instructions, building access codes, and any special entry requirements

We are not responsible for delays, incomplete service, or inability to clean areas that are inaccessible, unsafe, blocked, excessively cluttered, or not disclosed before the appointment.

4. Access to Property

If we cannot access the property at the scheduled time, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation or lockout. A cancellation, lockout, or trip fee may apply.

If the Customer provides a key, access code, lockbox, garage code, concierge instruction, or other access method, the Customer authorizes us to enter the property for the scheduled cleaning service.

The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all access instructions are accurate and active at the scheduled appointment time.

5. Payment Terms

Payment terms may be agreed to verbally, in person, by phone, by text message, by email, through a booking page, through an estimate, through an invoice, or through any other written or electronic communication.

Most payment arrangements are made verbally or in person. An invoice may not be provided unless requested by the Customer or issued by the Company. The absence of an invoice does not waive, cancel, delay, or reduce the Customer's obligation to pay for services provided or scheduled

Unless otherwise agreed before service begins, payment is due no later than completion of the cleaning service.

We may require a deposit, card on file, prepayment, partial payment, or payment authorization before scheduling, holding, or performing service.

If a payment plan, delayed payment, partial payment, or other payment arrangement is approved, the Customer remains responsible for the full balance according to the agreed arrangement. Any unpaid balance remains due until paid in full.

Unpaid balances may result in cancellation of future appointments, refusal of future service, late fees where allowed by law, collection activity, recovery of collection costs where allowed by law, and any other remedies available under Connecticut law.

Any returned payment, failed payment, stopped payment, disputed payment, chargeback, or reversed payment may be treated as nonpayment unless and until the balance is paid in full.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 hours before the scheduled service time.

Cancellations, rescheduling requests, lockouts, denied access, or customer no-shows with less than 24 hours' notice may result in a cancellation fee of up to 50%, including up to the full scheduled service amount.

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule service due to weather, emergency, unsafe conditions, illness, staffing issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

7. No Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not provide refunds for completed cleaning services.

Because cleaning is a labor-based service and time is reserved specifically for each Customer, payment is owed for the time, labor, materials, scheduling, and services provided.

If you are dissatisfied with the service, your sole and exclusive remedy is the re-clean policy described below. Refunds, partial refunds, discounts, credits, chargebacks, or payment reversals are not available for completed services unless required by applicable law or expressly agreed to by us in writing.

8. Re-Clean Policy / Satisfaction Remedy

We stand behind our work. If an area included in the agreed scope of service was missed, the Customer must notify us in writing within 24 hours after completion of the cleaning.

The notice must include:

The Customer's name

Service address

Date of service

Specific area or item missed

Photos, if reasonably available

A description of the concern

If we determine that an item or area within the agreed scope of service was missed, we will return to re-clean the missed area or item within one business week, subject to scheduling availability.

The re-clean remedy is limited only to the specific missed areas included in the original scope of service. A re-clean does not include:

New messes created after we leave

Areas not included in the original booking

Additional rooms or services

  •  Cluttered or inaccessible areas
  •  Permanent stains
    Wear and tear
  •  Damage, corrosion, discoloration, mold, mildew, hard-water buildup, grease buildup, or conditions that cannot reasonably be corrected through normal cleaning
  •  Customer dissatisfaction based on preference rather than missed work
  •  Work that could not be completed due to safety, access, time, or condition issues

Failure to notify us within 24 hours after service completion waives any claim for a re-clean.

If the Customer refuses, delays, or fails to provide reasonable access for the re-clean within one business week, the re-clean remedy is waived.

9. Limits of Cleaning Results

We will make reasonable efforts to clean the agreed areas, but we do not guarantee removal of all stains, odors, buildup, discoloration, mold, mildew, rust, hard-water deposits, grease, paint, adhesives, pet stains, smoke residue, or damage caused by age, use, neglect, improper maintenance, prior cleaning products, or surface deterioration.

Some surfaces may appear dirty, stained, worn, or discolored even after cleaning. Cleaning does not restore surfaces to new condition.

10. Items We Do Not Clean or Handle

Unless specifically agreed in writing, we do not clean, handle, remove, or service:

Human or animal waste

Bodily fluids

Blood

Needles or drug paraphernalia

Hazardous materials

Mold remediation

Pest infestations

Hoarding conditions

Fire or smoke damage

Biohazards

Heavy lifting

High-reach areas requiring ladders beyond normal household step stools

Exterior windows

Chandeliers or fragile fixtures

Firearms, ammunition, weapons, or controlled substances Personal documents, cash, jewelry, medication, or valuables

We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if we determine that a condition is unsafe, unsanitary, hazardous, illegal, or outside the agreed scope of service.

11. Breakage, Damage, and Pre-Existing Conditions

The Customer must notify us before service of any fragile, loose, damaged, unstable, antique, high-value, or delicate items or surfaces.

We are not responsible for damage caused by:

Pre-existing damage

Loose, unstable, improperly installed, or deteriorated items

  •  Normal wear and tear
  •  Items not properly secured
  •  Surfaces damaged by prior products or improper maintenance
  •  Items left in unsafe or unstable locations
  •  Customer failure to disclose special care instructions

Any claim of damage must be reported in writing within 24 hours after service completion.

Claims submitted after 24 hours may be denied.

Our liability for any proven damage caused by our negligence is limited to the lesser of the cost of repair, replacement value, or the amount paid for the service giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by law.

We are not liable for sentimental value, lost profits, loss of use, inconvenience, emotional distress, consequential damages, indirect damages, or punitive damages.

12. Pets

The Customer is responsible for securing all pets before and during service. We are not responsible for pets escaping, becoming injured, hiding, biting, scratching, or interfering with cleaning services.

If pets are aggressive, loose, or create unsafe conditions, we may stop work, skip areas, or cancel the appointment. Fees may still apply.

13. Health and Safety

The Customer must notify us before service of any health, safety, sanitation, or environmental concerns, including illness, pest infestation, biohazards, animal waste, bodily fluids, mold, or hazardous materials.

We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if the property presents unsafe conditions. If we stop service due to unsafe or undisclosed conditions, the Customer remains responsible for any applicable fees, including work already performed, travel, and reserved appointment time.

14. Photos and Documentation

We may take before-and-after photos or videos of areas being cleaned for quality control, training, documentation, damage protection, and dispute resolution.

We will not intentionally publish identifying personal information, private documents, personal photographs, or sensitive Customer information without permission, unless required for legal, insurance, collection, or dispute purposes.

15. Recurring Services

Recurring cleaning services are scheduled based on availability and may be weekly, biweekly, monthly, or otherwise agreed.

Recurring service pricing depends on consistent frequency and property condition. If appointments are skipped, delayed, or cancelled, the next cleaning may require additional time or may be billed at a higher rate.

We may change recurring pricing with notice if property condition, scope, labor cost, travel, frequency, or service requirements change.

16. Customer Conduct

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to any Customer for abusive, threatening, harassing, unsafe, discriminatory, inappropriate, or unreasonable conduct. If service is stopped due to Customer conduct, the Customer remains responsible for payment for services performed and time reserved.

17. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

By booking service, the Customer agrees to first contact us in writing regarding any service concern and allow us the opportunity to provide the re-clean remedy described in these Terms.

A chargeback, payment reversal, or payment dispute filed without first allowing us the opportunity to address a timely and valid service concern may be treated as a breach of these Terms.

We reserve the right to provide these Terms, invoices, photos, messages, access records, and service documentation to banks, payment processors, collection agencies, attorneys, courts, or other appropriate parties in response to a chargeback or payment dispute.

18. Cancellation Rights Required by Law

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation right that may be required by applicable Connecticut or federal law.

If a transaction is subject to a legally required cancellation period, the Customer will receive any required notice and may cancel within the legally required time period.

Where legally required cancellation rights apply, those rights control over any conflicting cancellation, payment, or no-refund language in these Terms.

19. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delays, cancellations, or inability to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, road conditions, illness, labor shortage, supply shortage, utility outage, emergency, accident, government action, or unsafe conditions.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the specific cleaning service giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, emotional, punitive, or exemplary damages.

21. No Guarantee of Perfect Results

Cleaning is a service, not a restoration guarantee. We do not guarantee that any property, surface, room, appliance, fixture, floor, wall, shower, tub, window, carpet, or item will look new, be fully restored, or meet a subjective standard of perfection.

Our obligation is to perform the agreed cleaning service in a commercially reasonable manner. If something within the agreed scope was missed, the Customer's remedy is the re-clean policy stated above.

22. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The version in effect at the time of booking or service will apply to that service unless otherwise required by law.

23. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.

Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms, the booking, payment, or cleaning services shall be handled in the appropriate court located in Connecticut, unless otherwise required by law.

24. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

25. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any written estimate, invoice, booking confirmation, service agreement, or written scope of work, form the entire agreement between the Customer and Farmington Valley House Cleaning LLC.

By booking, approving, paying for, or allowing cleaning services to begin, the Customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
